CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
What you’ll learn
Each of the three, six-week courses is purpose-built to give you the practical capability you need to stand out in the marketing industry. In the fourth and final course – a six-week Employer Project – you’ll apply what you’ve learned to a real-world scenario.
You’ll start with two weeks of Orientation, where you’ll get comfortable with the online learning platform, connect with fellow learners, and plan your studies. You’ll also meet your Success Manager and Career Coach, who will help you personalise your plan of attack to achieve your version of success.
Truly understanding users requires a combination of technical skills (such as research methodologies, user recruitment techniques and analytical frameworks) as well as interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, collaboration and observation. In this course, you’ll acquire a wide range of technical and human skills that are at the core of the UX design role.
In this course, you’ll explore the iterative processes that shape the creation of wireframes and prototypes. You’ll learn how UX designers collaborate within Agile teams to discover, visualise, test, and refine ideas, weaving them into user-centred designs. By understanding the intricacies of user flows, information architecture, and interaction design principles, you’ll develop the expertise to craft accessible and meaningful user experiences.
Throughout Course 3, you’ll learn how to design and build high-fidelity prototypes and prepare them for design handoff, the process in which you deliver design work to the development team for build. In addition, you’ll focus on continuous optimisation, which is all about incorporating user feedback and data to continuously improve a UX experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to conclude your work on HabitHero and develop additional case study work for your portfolio in Module 5: Continuous optimisation and Module 6: Developing your UX career.
Here you’ll put your new skills to work in a practical business project based on a real design challenge set by a real-world company. You’ll work in groups to find the best solution and present your work in the final week. The result is a relevant case study you can add to your portfolio

Why learn UX & UI product design?
Great product design shapes how people experience a business, brand and product. When that experience falls short, customers leave. When it’s done well, it drives engagement, loyalty and business growth.
As organisations invest more in digital products, demand for UX and UI designers continues to grow. It’s also a career that’s open to people from a wide range of backgrounds, making it a strong choice whether you’re starting out or changing careers.
As a product designer, you’ll shape how people interact with technology and create experiences that make a real impact.
